The Divine Art of Astrology is a 10 week astrology immersion, designed to teach you to read your chart through the lens of myth and archetype, to enchant, enrich, and empower your astrology practice.

This course is perfect for advanced beginners to intermediate students—those who understand the basics of astrology, but are looking for guidance on how to synthesize the chart with confidence and creativity.

Cultivating Mythic Vision

A core concept we’ll learn about in this class is the idea of sympathetic magic, or what can be seen as the kinship between all things. “As above, so below” will take on new meaning as you learn to recognize facets of your own psyche in your natal chart and transits.

Through the use of art and archetypal perspectives, along with elements of astrological ritual, your entire approach to the chart interpretation will come to life.

What Will We Learn?

Course Curriculum

Each week we will meet for a live class, each class will be approximately 75 minutes. Class is recorded for those who cannot join live and shared immediately after class adjourns.

We will meet for four supplemental classroom Q/A sessions throughout the course, for additional support.

  • • A brief history of the transmission of astrology through time to establish a deeper contextual appreciation for astrology

    • Defining my approach to chart synthesis: Mythic vision work, the role of sympathetic magic in chart interpretation, and using creative consciousness to elevate chart reading skills

  • • How the chart is built (defining houses/planets/signs)

    • The importance of the angles (ascendant, descendant, midheaven, imum coeli)

    • Constellations on the ecliptic and the corresponding zodiac signs

  • • An overview of planetary dignity

    • An exploration of the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, and Mars, their role in the natal chart

    • Corresponding myths to lend a deeper astrological read

    • How to blend myth and astrological knowledge

    • The inner planets as emissaries of PSYCHE and PERSONALITY

  • • An exploration of Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, their role in the natal and corresponding myths

    • How to read the outer planets as responses to POWER, as GENERATIONAL markers

  • • Deepening perspectives of the twelve houses, how to read planets in them, empty houses, and planetary house rulers

    • Understanding the flow of energy through the houses for more intuitive reading

  • • Aspect work: the basics of aspect interpretation

    • Seeing aspects as the refining, alchemical details in the birth chart

  • • Building off of Week 6, this class explores transit work and understanding astrological timing.

  • • Asteroids week! Working with asteroids and the concept of finding your daimon in the chart

    • Ceres, Pallas, Vesta, Juno, Chiron + the Muse asteroids (and how to find out more about your own important asteroid figures)

  • • My favorite techniques for weaving the pieces of the chart together.

    • Approaches to mythic chart reading

    • Approaches to poetic image making via the natal

    • Annual profections, Fast-Moving Points, Midpoints, Spear-bearer, Lunar Phases, and more!

  • • Introduction to planetary magic

    • Building astrological rituals based on your chart and transits

    • Planetary prayer, creativity, and empowerment via ritual

As we move through each week, I will supplement class with an ongoing array of active imagination exercises, a guided meditation for intuitive chart exploration, several workbooks with chart synthesis exercises, and ample opportunities to practice reading the charts of class members as well as artists, to reinforce and make fluid interpretation techniques.

Students will also receive my bibliography and supplementary PDFs encapsulating class highlights.

For those aspiring to an even more in-depth approach to learning the divine art of astrology, I’m offering FIVE mentorship opportunities. Mentees will receive:

  • 50-minute weekly one-on-one meetings with me to deepen the lessons of each class session

Hi! For those who don’t yet know me, I’m Cristina, the astrologer behind Eighth House Astrology and the instructor for this course. I’m so glad you’re here with me.

Over the years of my journey as a student and practitioner of astrology, I’ve been led by my own fascination with the magic of the cosmos as much as my love of myth, poetry, and painting, in my quest for self-knowledge.

To me, astrology is so powerful because it reveals the innate connections, between the seeable and the unseen. Astrology acts as an affirmation of something true, supportive, ever-present, and magical, and in a world rife with conflict, abandonment, and pain, this to me is very comforting.

I hold an M.A. Western Intellectual Traditions (focused on Greek drama and mythic texts) and have been in astrological consultation and teaching practice since 2016.

I’m here to lead you in a class that will transform your astrological perception, make you a more confident reader of astrology charts, and empower you to infuse your practice with your own creative consciousness.
