Chiron, the Wounded Healer
Chiron is an asteroid, sometimes referred to as a minor-planet, in the natal chart. He was discovered in 1978, and so is a relatively new astrological point, holding as much mystery as he holds deep wisdom.
The mythic figure of Chiron was a centaur, famous for his ability to heal any wound—except his own. He was the child of Saturn and Philyra, but was immediately abandoned by his parents. Adopted, luckily, by the god Apollo, Chiron was raised to be a master healer, adept in the arts of medicine, herbalism, divination, poetry, and astrology. His story is a powerful reminder of our own need to look within, to integrate our early experiences of rejection, abandonment, and isolation, and find transformational healing therein.
The Vision
In honor of our particularly Chiron-heavy astrology, this class will gather for three live presentations (held on Zoom), to learn about the astrological impact of Chiron, both as a celestial body and a mythological figure.
The goal is to welcome in Chiron's presence this month, and strive to integrate his deep impact, both for the collective and for us personally.
BY THE END OF THIS CLASS, YOU WILL:
Understand major details of your natal Chiron placement, so you can more deeply connect with your healing path and gifts
Find affirmation for your own stories of personal struggle represented by Chiron in your chart, which can lead to acceptance of aspects of life’s challenges
Understand your own personal Chiron cycle, the influence of Chiron in transit, as well as Chiron in synastry, bringing greater understanding to healing dynamics in your relationships, and in your life at this very moment

I’ll Be Your Teacher
Hi! For those who don’t yet know me, I’m Cristina, the astrologer behind Eighth House Astrology and the instructor for this course. I’m so glad you’re here with me.
Over the years of my journey as a student and practitioner of astrology, I’ve been led by my own fascination with the magic of the cosmos as much as my love of myth, poetry, and painting, in my quest for self-knowledge.
To me, astrology is so powerful because it reveals the innate connections, between the seeable and the unseen. Astrology acts as an affirmation of something true, supportive, ever-present, and magical, and in a world rife with conflict, abandonment, and pain, this to me is very comforting.
I hold an M.A. Western Intellectual Traditions (focused on Greek drama and mythic texts) and have been in astrological consultation and teaching practice since 2016.
I’m here to lead you in a class that will transform your astrological perception, make you a more confident reader of astrology charts, and empower you to infuse your practice with your own creative consciousness.
